To tell about my dining room furniture, an eight seated dining table is kept at the centre of the room such that while serving food, the one who serves food can have access to all the members around the table.
The dining table is made of teak and also the chairs. The chairs are provided cushions made of good quality sponge so that the guests are seated properly and the feel pleasant.
The dining room has cupboards attached to the walls as well as a single cupboard. In these cupboards the plates, glasses, cups, saucers etc are placed neatly.
These cupboards are also made of teak. On the dining table a jug of water will be kept daily such that in case of emergencies, there is no need to go under a tap to get water or even if to get rid of the thirst, you can have it.

My dining room set is a plain, unfinished pine (or at least, pine look alike) table and 4 chairs from IKEA.
They were chosen because of the low price of $40 for the table and $20 for the chairs except for the fact that I got 2 of the chairs from the as is section for a reduced price).
I like them because I can refurnish them, paint them or varnish them to change the look or simply cover with a table cloth to add some color.
If I was working on the same budget I would choose the same dining set again- the keep me and my food off the floor and they didn’t cost and arm and a leg.
If I was working with a higher budget I might choose something a bit nicer looking, something that will last for a long time and possibly be able to be resold or passed down to future generations to keep things out of the landfill. Read more »
I always had hard time buying furniture, that is until I finally bought my dinning room furniture.
I had visited several stores gone on line numerous times and I either didn’t find what I liked or was not happy about the price.
Until one day, I decided I had enough and I was not going to let the day end with out purchasing the furniture that I so needed.
Well at the end of the day I still had not bought it. So I went on line to Rooms To Go and bought the furniture.
It is a beautiful dark wood table, the lines are clean and simple and it has the matching china cabinet with beautiful worked glass doors, and the chairs are just the right size.
The best part of this whole thing is I did it all from my living room. I applied for credit on line, order the furniture and prayed that ordering furniture on line was the right decision. Read more »
I have a wooden and foam dining furniture.
I have got one table with six chairs.
The chairs are having foam to sit comfortably.
They are not a special brand.
If I furnish again it will be different furniture.
Once I sat on the table and it fell down.
I use to study on it. I also leave it in a mess.
Six years ago I visited a friend’s house and saw my dream’s dining table: big square wood table with room for eight people, one couple nicely sat in each side of the table.
I loved this style because I could have many friends for dinner or for game night.
Last year I started looking for it. My search started on line but there was nothing like seeing the set at a store and feeling it was the perfect fit, except for the finish color, it did not match my kitchen.

My dining room has been furbished from the IKEA catalog.
It is primarily light beech in color, with blue covers on the six chairs.
The Beech effect table is large enough to accommodate 8 diners in comfort, and can be expanded to accommodate 10.
I chose the furniture from IKEA as the store is a short walk from my apartment and the price was particularly agreeable.
In the future, I would hope to purchase a higher quality furniture range from a more upmarket department store, for example, John Lewis. Read more »
I have a long oak dining room table with seating for 6.
It usually has a decorate table cloth, with decor for the appropriate season/holiday.
Currently it has two red pillar candles, with heart ribbon around it for Valentine’s Day.
I chose to use this table in my living room because it belonged to my grandmother.
Also belonging to my grandmother is a matching buffet set.
I store my good china in there. The walls are a beige color, with an accent wall of red.
I love the way this room was decorated and would keep it the same way if I were to redo it. Read more »
I have a 5 piece dining room set purchased from Wal Mart for $200.00.
The brand is whatever brand Walmart’s home furnishing brand is.
I chose this set because of the price and the color of the wooden top table and wrought iron embellishment on the sides.
I would not choose this type again because the chairs are very uncomfortable and don’t fit the height of the table comfortably.
Our dining room furniture is not a set, but it all matches.
All of the furniture is a Mission Style. My husband bought the table, leaf, and chairs from JC Penny many years ago.
We bought the China hutch, which is a Broyhill, from Darvin furniture in Orland Park, IL.
My husband and I both like the mission style of furniture.
When we bought the China hutch, we took the leaf from the table into the store with us to make sure that the finishes matched.
There was a hutch that we liked that was slightly less expensive, but it would not have looked good in our dinning room. Read more »
I live on the second floor of a two-story duplex, in a small apartment with one bedroom, one bathroom and a kitchen that has a counter separating it from the combination living room/dining room.
When I purchased this duplex, I had the apartment renovated to suit my own living style because I live alone and only entertain a few close friends at home.
After the renovation, when the time came to purchase furniture, I needed to find items that would fit into the small living room area, which would also be the dining room.
Unfortunately, I lived on a small resort island in Florida that had absolutely no furniture stores. Soon after, I was visiting New York City and while there I began hunting for furniture at its many stores.
