Kitchen furniture hand crafted out of oak

When you walk into my kitchen you see very modern kitchen with a large handcrafted oak dining room table, pie hutch, and serving stand.

It has no brand name because my great, great, grandfather built it. It was beautifully done with no machinery, but with his own two hands and simple carving tools.

It is large rectangle with leaves, trees, and family names etched in the corners. It has a large tree etched in the center that has our family name in it.

It has been passed down from one generation to the next, and I was fortunate enough to have it passed to me from my grandmother.

The pie hutch and serving stand is hand-crafted out of oak also. The hutch is almost seven foot and can hold three large pies on the top two shelves. It has the same etching on the front cabinets at the bottom.

The serving stand is about three feet tall, and has a tree etched on it with the saying “I shall serve thee.. Lord” on it. Read more »

I bought kitchen furniture from a Millwork’s store

I bought kitchen furniture from a Millwork’s store.

I bought chairs, a maple unfinished table and an unfinished tall cabinet.

I don’t know what brand the furniture is. I don’t think there is any brand.

I chose unfinished furniture hoping to save money.

I particularly like the take because it as high as an island. I like high tables.

The stools are easy to sit on and eat quickly. Read more »
