I don’t know the brand.

They thought it would be nice change from fabric.

I don’t think they would choose this again.

The funny thing about their sofa is you keep sliding right out of the sofa and the chair.

You can not sit comfortably and have a conversation with someone without being interfered from the sofa.

I like my bedroom furniture it has taken some time to get all the right pieces together

Bedroom is loft conversion, mattress on floor, 3 year old ‘tiny’ 42″ pc in against wall.

Leather sofa facing, pc desk to left with old xp pc, laptop in front of sofa of coffee table, small draws next to TV with printer on with cupboard door on other side.

Then 5 other small/medium sized beech wood storage containing books clothes files.

All from IKEA. also 2 large KEF speakers(gift), small table (IKEA) plastic draws (local shop) and clothes rail fixing behind sofa. Read more »

My living room is in a Victorian Tenement flat typical of where I live in Scotland

My living room is in a Victorian Tenement flat typical of where I live in Scotland. These buildings were designed to house the workforce of the newly industrialized city and have a typical look to them featuring red sandstone, high ceilings, bay windows and good proportions.

Traditionally each room would have housed a whole family, including a fireplace where all the cooking would have been done and a bed recess where they would sleep.

My living room still features the bed recess, which I have used to build my kitchen, although the fireplace has been blocked up.

Essentially the room is square with a large window letting in lots of light, and the recess that has a fitted kitchen.

I didn’t want a typical kitchen and so it is very modern with sleek grey units, and a bright red Perspex splash back.

The living area needed to match that, and has a perfect shade of purple-grey on the walls which complements the red and grey of the kitchen but is a soft warm color. This color flows through and ties into the palette in the rest of the house, cappuccino and heather colored. Read more »
