In my home office I have a glass-top desk, which I purchased from Plummer’s about eight years ago. The frame is black metal tubing. I like the glass surface because it is easy to clean and it makes the desk seem smaller and lighter, so it doesn’t give the impression of dominating or crowding the room the way a wooden or metal desk does.
I have three short drawer units that sit under the desk in the same position that built-in drawers would take. I think I got them at Target. They are on wheels, so I can pull them out for easy access if I need to.
They are black to match the desk’s framework. I also have an ordinary four-drawer file cabinet. It’s a dark tan color. I’ve had it for over 20 years, purchased at some office supply tore, and it is still in good condition. I use a magnet clip to attach my wall calendar to the side of the file cabinet.
I need a lot of shelving for books and various work materials. For that I use bookcases that I bought from IKEA. They have a dark brown wood veneer. I had to put them together myself, but it wasn’t very difficult. I like the fact that I can adjust the height of the shelves as my needs change. Read more »
My daughter’s bed is a beautifully crafted white bed from Raymour & Flanigan.
It is the centerpiece of her room (although, she would’ve preferred a bunk-bed!).
For the dresser and nightstand, we bought pieces from Target at a much lower price. These pieces aren’t used as much as the bed, and they match the bed perfectly.
Her walls are painted lavender with white stenciling, so her room has an English garden type of theme. Read more »
I have a black metal “mesh” round table on my back porch.
It’s rather light and can be moved or stored easily, as it can be folded. I don’t recall the brand name, but I do remember I bought the table at Target about 9 years ago.
I also have two beige plastic chairs that I use with the table.

For my back closed in deck I have four wicker chairs two ottomans and two tables, I purchased them from Target.
We were looking for something that would not break the bank and yet be comfortable at the same time.
On the back porch we have a table that sits 6, glass top, white base.
For our front porch we have two wicker rocking chairs, upstairs front porch two wooden rocker chairs and a table.
